Encounters and Farewells -Wall Deco-
One of Japan’s traditional crafts created with the wish for children’s healthy growth is kokeshi dolls.
Among them, Miyagi Prefecture, where we are based, is also famous as the birthplace of kokeshi.
For the Tooth-Shaped Stool exhibition, we collaborated with local artists to create kokeshi inspired by teeth.
The story of this kokeshi is told through a cohesive three-piece series:
-
Birthday
-
Encounters and Farewells
-
STOOTH Tree
